Bring the Library Home

Get a Library Card

Library cards are for all ages! Children must bring a legal guardian, with photo ID and proof of local address, by one of the library locations to get an account set up. Teens, ages 13-17 years old, may use their own identification to obtain a card.

You can also request a temporary card online. This card will be good for 90 days; come by a library to get it changed into a permanent library card.

Digital Downloads

Download ebooks, audiobooks, music, comics & magazines. Stream movies and TV shows.

Use the Hoopla, cloudLibrary, Kanopy and Flipster apps to gain access to our extensive digital collection.

Chromebooks & Hotspots

Many of our libraries have Chromebooks and hotspots to check-out and take home for 14 days. Must be 19 or older to checkout. Only one of each per household. Ask about availability at your favorite library location.

Homework Help & Academic Tutoring: 10 a.m. - 11 p.m.

Homework Alabama can be accessed from virtually any computer or mobile device with internet connection while in the state of Alabama.
